Mobile app for VABC Limited Availability Products

Throughout the year, Virginia ABC offers special releases of products, including highly sought bourbons, whiskies, and other small-batch spirits offerings. As of September 12, you can sign up to receive text messages when these drops occur (see your last email from VABC for details).

If you are in your usual areas (home, office etc.), you already know the closest stores, if not this mobile app will help. It will display the ten stores closest to your current location, (Store #, City and distance). Tapping will display the location details (address, phone number, hours) and a Car icon which will launch maps for directions.

Catching the Drop

On our server, we watch for the arrival of the e-newsletter to capture the list of stores authorized to sell the limited availability products. That list is made available to the app which will display the ten stores closest to your location.

Text Message Notification

When you receive a text message from Virginia ABC alerting you that a new drop has been made, open the app to see the ten closest stores.

Getting the App

We are looking for a few testers. If you're interested, send an email to thaney@prodata-nm.com with
VABC APP in the subject line and
IOS or ANDROID in the body. We will setup your access to the app from the App Store or the Play Store.
